Partner spotlight: Ravi Foundation helps animals affected by delayed monsoon rains in Pakistan
The International Fund for Animal Welfare Disaster Response partner Ravi Foundation has deployed their assessment, rescue, and medical teams!
Delayed heavy monsoon rains produced flooding that has swept away thousands of houses, destroyed or contaminated crops, killed or injured thousands of human beings and animals in the seven main districts of Sindh Province, eleven districts in Balochistan and three districts of South Punjab.
Ravi Foundation responders are finding many companion animals and livestock caught in flooded waters or mud. Animals are suffering from hunger and thirst as flood waters destroy or contaminate food and water supplies.
Disease outbreak is imminent.
IFAW is supporting Ravi Foundation work to set up animal medical camps in proximity to human relief camps and near affected areas. They will manage animal relief efforts and support good animal welfare by providing food, water and vaccinations.
With every passing day, the miseries of people and animals are increasing.
IFAW and Ravi Foundation are working hard to help the animals in Pakistan. Thank you for opening your hearts to support our ongoing work to serve the animals struggling to survive this disaster.
