Subhamoy Bhattacharjee is Assistant Manager of the “Awareness for Conservation” project of IFAW-WTI, stationed at Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) in Kaziranga National Park.

In the 1990s, he made it his profession while working for Indian national magazines, dailies and periodicals. He also contributed to BBC for more than eight years covering Northeast India.

His keenness to learn photography prompted Subhamoy to join a studio in Guwahati, and attend a photography course in Jadavpur University in Calcutta, India.

In July of 2008, Subhamoy interned at The Indianapolis Star in Indiana, USA.

In 2006, a selection of Subhamoy’s photographs appeared in “Holidays around the World” a National Geographic publication.

Subhamoy completed his Bachelor of Mass Communication from Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU) in Assam in 2011 and is now pursuing his masters in Mass Communication from Tezpur University, Assam.
