What else can I do

Have you contacted your candidates already but want to do more?

There are lots of other ways you can help protect the Hunting Act. Here are some suggestions:

Host an event

Why not host an event to raise awareness about the No Return to Cruelty campaign in your home or town hall? You could show the pre-ban hunt footage and invite your MP, friends and family to attend. If you are thinking of hosting such an event we would be grateful if you could let us know by emailing noreturntocruelty@ifaw.org

Write a letter to your local paper

Why not write to your local paper highlighting your support for the hunt ban and asking that your MP support the Hunting Act.  Read IFAW’s guide to writing a letter to your local paper for some tips.

Put a poster up in your window

Show your support for IFAW in Action’s No Return to Cruelty campaign. Download and print out one of our posters from the links on the right.

Ask your MP for his or her views face-to-face

You can go to your MP’s surgery and ask them directly to support the Hunting Act. Why not print out a copy of the No Return to Cruelty report (PDF) and give it to your MP.

Ask your MP to watch IFAW in Action’s footage of pre-ban hunting

Ask your MP to watch IFAW in Action’s footage of pre-ban hunting to show them the cruelty that would return to our countryside if the Hunting Act is repealed. You could suggest they go to www.ifaw.org/noreturntocruelty to see the footage. You could also hold a screening at your home for friends to encourage them to become involved in IFAW’s campaign.

Use Facebook

Join IFAW’s Facebook page or set up your own campaign there. IFAW in Action’s materials and information can be used for this purpose, but please do so with proper attribution to IFAW and respect for the political process.

Tell your friends about IFAW’s No Return to Cruelty campaign

Encourage them to join you in doing all they can to ensure the Hunting Act remains in place.

Contact us

We would be interested to learn what activities you are organising in your local area and what has worked well. Please keep us posted or contact us for further advice by emailing noreturntocruelty@ifaw.org.

Raise funds to help our campaign
