Beijing Dog Rescue: Taotao
Taotao is a pure breed 7 month old cocker spaniel. She was bought by an American at a local dog market. When Taotao arrived at her new home, she began to have diarrhea and was vomiting. Following a trip to the veterinary clinic, Taotao was diagnosed with canine distemper. When her new family learned of this, they decided to find a better home for her and brought Taotao to the shelter. It was December, the weather was freezing and windy, and Taotao’s health condition was very bad. The staff of the shelter didn’t give up on her. With their love and care, Taotao finally recovered. Not long after that, her lively character attracted a volunteer at the shelter, and she adopted Taotao. However, due to some unexpected changes in the volunteer’s family, they could no longer keep Taotao, so she was brought back to BHAEEC. The volunteer that developed a close relationship with Taotao still visits her frequently and is still looking for opportunities to take her back and give her a loving family.
