IFAW en PAWS brengen hulpvraag in kaartNa een reis van meer dan 34 uur waren we blij om eindelijk Filipijnse grond onder onze voeten te voelen. Veel tijd om bij te komen was er echter niet. We hadden al meteen een afspraak met onze lokale partner, de Philippines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) om de gebieden die door de orkaan Haiyan het zwaarst getroffen zijn in kaart te brengen.

Une équipe de sauvetage d'IFAW (Fonds international pour la protection des animaux) est arrivée aujourd'hui à Tacloban, une ville de l'île de Leyte totalement ravagée vendredi dernier par le typhon Haiyan, aussi connu sous le nom de Yolanda, le plus dévastateur de l'histoire du pays.
