Tania McCrea-Steele is the IFAW
Tania has been with IFAW for over seven years and currently oversees IFAW's European campaign fighting to stop the trade of illegal wildlife on the internet.
She also leads a team of wildlife crime investigators who work to ensure the Hunting Act 2004, which banned the pursuit of foxes, deer, hare and mink with dogs for ‘sport’, is effectively enforced.
In addition to our enforcement efforts Tania works with our team of experts to make sure that the hunting ban remains in place despite the hunter’s attempts to return to cruelty by legalizing the setting of dogs on wild animals for entertainment.
She has also coordinated prosecutions against illegal hunters and worked with the anti-sealing, anti-whaling and anti-elephant poaching teams to ensure animals receive the protection they deserve.
