Ian provided strategic guidance and direction to ensure the effective implementation of IFAW’s priority campaigns and programs across the organization as vice president until 2016.

Previously, he led IFAW’s Emergency Relief (ER) team, rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing wildlife, caring for domestic animals affected by natural and manmade disasters and supporting sanctuaries that provide care for non-releasable wildlife. Ian pioneered the use of post-release monitoring to guide further improvements to the process and gauge the success of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation projects.
