“I would encourage any business or foundation leader who wants to make a practical difference for wildlife and the environment to support the International Fund for Animal Welfare.”

Husky and The Schad Foundation

As CEO of Husky Injection Molding Systems and founder of The Schad Foundation, Robert Schad is a world leader in progressive corporate, environmental and philanthropic practices.

“Robert’s exceptional support of our work is saving the lives of literally thousands of animals,” says IFAW President and CEO Fred O’Regan. “His broad vision and integrity as a wildlife and environmental philanthropist informs and shapes many of IFAW’s critical successes to save animal populations and their habitats.”

In partnership with IFAW, Husky Injection Molding Systems helped put an end to the cruel and unethical Ontario spring bear hunt, which, for its targeting of mother bears, is the direct cause of countless orphaned cubs left to fend for themselves in the wild.

The Schad Foundation generously supports IFAW’s Global Research and Advocacy for Whale Conservation project, as well as supporting critical animal rescue initiatives.

“By continuing to raise the bar for environmentally advanced business and philanthropic practices, through both The Schad Foundation and Husky Injection Molding Systems, Robert Schad’s example serves to encourage other corporate and foundation partners to become involved at a level that has real and tangible impact for animals and people in every part of the world” adds Fred O’Regan.

Husky is the world's largest brand name supplier of injection molding equipment for the plastics industry whose customers use Husky equipment to manufacture countless products in the packaging, automotive and technical industries.

The Schad Foundation’s mission is to restore, protect and respect our natural systems, and does so by investing in projects whose focus is education, conservation and restoration of wilderness, development of sustainable technologies and practices, and promotion of humane treatment and respect for all species.
