Help Protect Dogs in China
A massive cull in the Chinese city of Hanzhong has claimed the lives of more than 30,000 dogs - and we need your help to make sure that it never happens again.
The local government ordered the mass slaughter of all dogs as the result of a few cases of rabies deaths. It is proven that rabies can be effectively controlled by a well-managed vaccination program.
We need your help to contact the Chinese Ambassador in your country and to encourage China to pass legislation that protects all animals, including companion animals.
Emergency Elephant Move in Malawi

IFAW is partnering with the
government of Malawi in an
epic rescue effort to move elephants from fierce human-elephant conflict in
the Phirilongwe area, just south of Lake
Malawi.
We are moving the whole herd to Majete Wildlife Reserve, a protected park over 150 miles away.
IFAW Promotes Whale Conservation in Washington DC

On May 19, IFAW Honorary Board Members Keely and Pierce Brosnan joined IFAW President Fred O'Regan at the White House with senior Administration officials to convey the importance of whale conservation at this critical time for the species.
That evening, the Brosnans hosted an IFAW Congressional Reception at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center to celebrate U.S. leadership in whale conservation. Other notables in attendance included Congressmen Eni Faleomavaega and William Delahunt, co-sponsors of the International Whale Conservation and Protection Act of 2009, as well as IFAW Board member Chris Matthews and IFAW Honorary Board member Goran Visnjic.
Victory for Seals in Europe!

MEP Robert Evans & MEP Frieda Brepoels in Strasbourg holding postcards from IFAW supporters across the EU calling for the ban of seal products .
The European Parliament voted in favor of a ban on the trade of all seal
products within the EU. This is a significant victory in IFAW’s 40 year campaign
to end Canada’s commercial seal hunt. The ban will forbid the sale of seal
products for profit within the EU.
We now need your help more than ever to end this cruel and unnecessary
hunt.
Please support Senator Harb's bill to ban the seal hunt today!
