The election is now over and the UK has a hung Parliament. Thank you to everyone who got in touch with their candidates during the campaign. Over the next few days it should become clear who will form the next Government but until then we can’t be sure what this means for animals. (Remember you can read the IFAW in Action analysis of the various parties’ manifestos here.) Hopefully the next Parliament will be more responsive to animal welfare and conservation issues but only time will tell.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be getting in touch with all the new MPs to let them know our views and urging the new Government to implement the recommendations made in IFAW’s manifesto (you can read the manifesto by clicking on the image on the right-hand side of the page). Whatever happens in the next few days, we’ll need your help to keep up the pressure on politicians.
