IFAW Helping Pakistan’s Animals
Relentless monsoon rains have caused the worst flooding in Pakistan’s history. IFAW is working with a local animal and humanitarian relief agency to feed starving animals. We are closely monitoring development to see how else we can help, and have reached out to other international animal aid organizations to see how we can best work together to help Pakistan's animals.
IFAW's animals are on the loose!

IFAW’s fox, hare and stag will be out and about in Truro town centre on Wed (Aug 18) and the centre of Falmouth on Thu (19) as part of a series of visits around the UK. They will be reminding the public to lobby their MPs to vote to protect the Hunting Act.

Controversial whaling proposal fails at global meeting
The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) has welcomed news that a controversial proposal to legalise whaling has failed at the annual meeting of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) in Agadir, Morocco.
"Under a cloud of corruption allegations the IWC is taking a safe course, opting for a cooling off period that protects the moratorium and other IWC conservation measures," said Patrick Ramage, Director of IFAW’s Global Whale Campaign. "Had it been done here, this deal would have lived in infamy."
IFAW publishes joint statement of intent: asks MPs to protect the Hunting Act

IFAW, The League Against Cruel Sports and the RSPCA have issued a joint statement of intent which demonstrates our on-going commitment to the Hunting Act. Shockingly the Hunting Act is under threat with the new coalition Government pledging to offer MPs the chance to repeal the Act. The coalition agreement says that the Government “will bring forward a motion on a free vote enabling the House of Commons to express its view on the repeal of the Hunting Act”. Hunting with dogs is cruel and unnecessary. Take action now and email your MP asking them to protect the Act.
