The protocol for data exchange between ADC Pipe and other programmes has changed.
If you use ADC Pipe, you must install new versions (V4 upwards) of
RainbowClick, Logger Porpoise and Whistle for them to work with ADCPipe.
Note that ADC pipe is rarely
necessary when using Windows XP since multiple programs can access the same
sound card. ADCPipe is still useful if you wish to share a high frequency data
acquisition board between RainbowClick (for high frequency click detection) and
Logger (for high frequency sound recording).
The protocol for exchanging
data between Logger 2000, RainbowClick and the Porpoise Detector changes in
version 3 in order to also allow Logger 2000 to accept data via DDE from
other windows programs. If you are upgrading any of the IFAW programs to version
3 or above, you must upgrade all of them
