CONTEST RULES
Every year, IFAW asks young people like you to help us produce our IFAW Animal Action Education Poster. We're looking for colorful original artwork of one or more of the animals IFAW helps protect around the world.

IFAW works with a variety of animals, including elephants, seals, bears, whales, sea turtles, penguins, tigers, rhinos, porpoises, cats and dogs. You can find out more about the animals IFAW helps save by clicking on the link, "Save Animals."

Artwork submitted to the contest should be in color and contained within a standard 8.5x11-inch sheet of paper. All designs must be original and created by hand using markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paint – photographs, photocopies, tracing and computer-generated designs will not be accepted. A fully-completed and signed contest entry form must be securely taped (no staples please!) to each artwork submission. One entry per student.

All submissions become the property of IFAW. They may be scanned for inclusion in the IFAW Image Library and used for IFAW cause-related marketing purposes. The closing date for the competition is December 31, 2009.

Eligibility
The contest is open to young U.S. residents ages five to 18.

Judging Criteria, Prizes and Notification
12 selected entries that have been received by December 31, 2009 will be chosen for inclusion in the 2010 Animal Action Education Poster, which is distributed to some 80,000 classrooms across the United States. The Animal Action Education Art Contest Winners will receive a certificate. Eligible entries will be judged on creativity and originality of presentation and adherence to contest rules. The entries chosen for inclusion on the Poster will represent a range of ages, regions, and animals. All winning entries will be notified and the artwork posted on the US section of ifaw.org/education by May 31, 2010.

Deadlines
Entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2009.
