Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda
This Park is located on the South Western part of Uganda around Lakes Edward and George. QENP is a natural sanctuary of common mammals and an exceptional variety of bird life.
IFAW has had a long relationship with this Park and has provided operational
funds which kept it running through the recovery period in the last seven years.
This year, IFAW has supported QENP with a grant of USD 60,000 which will be used
to improve the communication system, addressing conflicts that arise due to
human-wildlife conflicts, building capacity of law enforcement staff and in the
implementation of a fire management plan.
