IFAW's awards program now runs in countries all around the world. We are looking for special people who have done something outstanding for animals. Perhaps they have devoted their life to saving animals at a sanctuary or they campaign tirelessly for animal welfare. Nominations for 2009 Action Awards are now open!

 IFAW Action Award for Dedication to Wildlife Rescue

Marny Bonner and the late Lance Ferris
IFAW is delighted to present Marny Bonner with an Action Award for her tremendous work in rescuing and rehabilitating hundreds of seabirds and marine wildlife.

IFAW Action Award for Outstanding Contribution from a Vet

Dr Jan Allen
Dr Allen is being recognised for her selfless dedication to the treatment and care of animals in Samoa and the Northern Territory.

Shirley Lack
Shirley Lack has been rescuing and caring for native wildlife for 30 years and has acted as a mentor to carers with her diligent and experienced guidance.

Shania Gardner
Shania goes to her grandparents wildlife sanctuary most weekends, helping with the care of animals, from feeding and cleaning cages to holding the animals whilst they are being treated by the local vet.

Ben Peacock - Republic of Everyone
Ben Peacock helped IFAW create a campaign motivating Australians to take action through online, outdoor and press ads and was the brain behind IFAW's Project 551, a project to show just how many people support whales and want to see an end to whaling.
