The Zodiac Group is a worldwide company with more than 10,000 people dedicated to five business segments: Aerosafety Systems, Aircraft Systems, Airline Equipment, Marine, and Technology. A world leader in many of its markets – including aircraft arresting systems, civil aircraft passenger seats, helicopter floats, aeronautical oxygen systems, inflatable boats, pleasure-boating rescue rafts, above-ground swimming pools, and automatic pool cleaners – the Zodiac Group has been learning how man interacts with earth, air, and water for more than a century.

Throughout its history, the Zodiac Group has established a reputation around the world as a pioneering company dedicated to responsibility, achievement and respect.  A part of these core values has been an abiding commitment to the environment and the worldwide community in which Zodiac operates.

As an expression of this commitment,  Zodiac has decided to join with IFAW as a partner in its work to protect marine life and preserve critical marine habitat.

Partners in Preservation, Rescue, and Education

Their generous funding and equipment donations are already helping us to:

  • Preserve endangered species and their habitats;
  • Rescue injured or stranded marine animals;
  • Save animals from oil spills, especially aquatic birds;
  • Study marine animals, and Improve the knowledge of young people in order to build a world where all life can flourish.

For example, in January 2004, IFAW and Zodiac worked together in response to a major oil spill off the coast of Norway, and again a few weeks later when an uncontrolled degassing incident occurred in Germany.

Zodiac's financial support and donated equipment also plays a key role on our education and research flagship Song of the Whale which tracks marine mammals and gathers valuable acoustic and visual data for the worldwide scientific community.
