As the Communications, Online Campaigns and Marketing Officer for IFAW Russia, Lena oversees media relations, develops promotional and educational materials and provides web-based content within Russia and for IFAW International. She is also active in public awareness and outreach activities for whale conservation, including annual expeditions to view the small population of western gray whales which is threatened by oil and gas exploration off the coast of Sakhalin Island.
Lena leads the Animal Action Education programme in Russia. This programme, which has grown to encompass more than 2,000 organizations and 500,000 participants, helps children to get involved in protecting wild animals and their habitats.
