Tiertafel volunteers bring food, meds to deaf man with blind dog

Mr. Zickelbein, 77, lives in an apartment in central Berlin with his poodle Rudi.

Zickelbein is deaf from birth; Rudi is blind.

A journey across the city to the Tiertafel facility, which assists people in need with their pet care, is not easy for the two, so every couple weeks Tiertafel volunteers bring Zickelbein Rudi’s food and medicine prescribed by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) vet in vans donated by IFAW.
