A 16-year old girl was mauled by a cougar.  The teenager and her mother had been invited to a house, where the girl was going to clean the cages for community service, as part of a requirement upon high school graduation.  Although the big cat had been declawed, it bit into the girl's head and surgeons needed two hours to clean her wounds and then patch the puncture holes and staple her scalp back together.
